Greenpeace East Asia is looking for an IT manager who looks after the IT operations and systems in Hong Kong, Beijing, Taipei and Seoul, and inspires the organization to enhance the operations and campaigns.

Summary/purpose of the position 

To direct, supervise and manage Greenpeace East Asia’s IT development, application strategy and implementation, such that advanced IT capacity can strengthen and support GP’s development in East Asia, including the Campaign, Communication, Fundraising, and Membership Departments.

Responsibilities:

• Establish an IT task force in the region that supports the Program, Fundraising and Engagement, Finance and Organisational Support Departments;
• Internal IT capacity building, identifying appropriate training needs and playing a crucial role in motivating team members to leverage IT on Program, Fundraising and Engagement, Finance and Organisational Support (both internally and externally) work;
• Establish and maintain a platform to collect requirements from campaign, fundraising and communication teams, to facilitate new ideas on leveraging appropriate digital, social media and web technologies;
• Propose a knowledge management framework and implementation plan for Greenpeace East Asia;
• Overall program / project management -- oversee project timelines for software program development; jointly with teams, assign responsibilities for design, programming and migration tasks;
• Facilitates collaboration on joint development and use of Global IT projects amongst Greenpeace International and other NROs;
• Develop IT policies, procedures, best practices and ensure the proper control / risk management and system / data security are in place;
• Review current technology and driveways to leverage and improve productivity;
• Yearly budget review, and allocation, both within the team as well as outsourced vendors and suppliers; gatekeeping of all expenditures within the agreed

Requirements: 

• Degree holder in Computer Science or related disciplines;
• 10 years or above working experience in IT Management with 5 years in senior management role;
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
• Strong communication, analytical, project management and problem-solving skills;
• Be innovative and with all rounded knowledge in IT field.
• Knowledge of cutting edge IT development
• Information Security and PCI (The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliance
• Good command of written and spoken English, fluent Putonghua
• Travel as required.
