IT Officer in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 497186) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or other related disciplines, with at least 3 years’ work experience in web applications / e-Learning platform / mobile apps development. They should have sound knowledge in the latest IT applications and development, with particular emphasis on web development, system implementation and the use of PHP/JAVA/.net and MySQL/Oracle/MSSQL/Mongo DB; a good understanding of IT architecture, integration and design, and hardware and software of IT operations; a good command of English and Chinese, and be an effective team player with self-motivation and a strong sense of responsibility. They should also be familiar with system and database design and conversant in programming, DBMS, programming frameworks, and data protection. Knowledge of internet programming languages/tools (CSS 3, HTML 5, PHP, MYSQL Java Script, MySQL, Moodle, edx, microsoft dynamics 365 and SharePoint) would be an advantage. Applicants should be a fast-learner, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with our dynamic teaching and learning team under a fast-paced environment.

The appointee will be responsible for data migration and integration, website application development and maintenance, programming, and student information system. He/She will also provide technical support to events and functions and perform ad hoc projects as assigned.
