IT Officer in the Information Technology Services (Ref.: 495547) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary; or on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field; a good command of written and spoken English; and good communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills. Those with post-qualification experience in IT services such as IT system design and development; experience in coordinating and supporting IT business processes; or skills and experience in Oracle PeopleSoft or student information systems are preferred. Knowledge of Oracle database, PL/SQL, Java, HTML5 and Unix; and certification in ITIL v3 and PRINCE2 would be definite advantages. The appointee will be responsible for user requirement analysis; software development; support and maintenance of quality IT services for student information management and related business processes of the University; and liaising with the administrative offices and department users in the University.
