Responsibilities

The appointee will be required to (i) develop, manage and maintain applications and company’s website; (ii) plan and manage IT infrastructure and security; (iii) handle user requirement collection, business analysis and implementation of varies applications; (iv) liaise with different parties on scope and testing plans for the projects; (v) coordinate and manage the projects; (vi) perform quality assurance for the deliverables. He/She also has to provide technical consultancy and IT support.

Requirements

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines with at least 5 years of work experience in applications development, systems implementation and support. Candidates should have hands-on experience in Windows Servers administration, strong sense of IT security and familiar with MS Office including VBA programming. He/She should be proficient in Java/ASP.net/PHP and MySQL/MS SQL, and also possess strong analytical mind, good interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of the Accounting system and Drupal website development will be an advantage. (Duration: 2 years)

Remuneration

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided where applicable. Successful applicant will be hired as an employee of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology R and D Corporation Limited. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
