Micron’s Taiwan sites include sales and technical support in Taipei along with state-of-the-art fabrication facilities in Taichung and Taoyuan that together comprise the company’s DRAM Center of Perfection. The Center’s goal is to achieve the most efficient and effective technology transfer and manufacturing ramp by combining front- and back-end manufacturing, product engineering and technology development roles.

The Micron IT Engineering Services (EngServ) team embraces the DevOps movement. We provide modern development infrastructure tools to hundreds of teams throughout Micron. The teams we empower work in every area of the company: engineering teams, IT teams and business teams. EngServ is helping to improve quality and catalyze development efficiency and effectiveness.

As a Systems Manager in the EngServ Taiwan Operations team, you will have an important role supporting systems and tools that are enabling teams to capture, manage and understand their work. Some of our current tools include Atlassian Jira (issue/bug tracking, team planning, work management), Atlassian Confluence (engineering wiki) Atlassian Bitbucket (Git repo hosting and code/branch management), Jenkins (continuous integration/delivery), Collaborator (reviews), qTest (test automation) and Artifactory (binary repository).

You will be providing technical systems management and application support for an operations team whose charter includes:

• Engineering a resilient hosting infrastructure for business critical applications
• Application infrastructure management
• Automated monitoring to ensure stability and performance in all geographies
• Constant application and add-on upgrades
• Providing 24/7 uptime, urgent service request support and incident response
• Ensuring that Disaster Recovery (DR) plans are current and tested regularly

In the EngServ team we expect the best from ourselves and our teammates. We work together closely to provide excellent service. The EngServ Operations team works closely with our EngServ Design team to provide the latest tools to help drive Micron’s innovation. The EngServ Operations team keeps the tools platform current, monitors and maintains availability, and coordinates with the teams responsible for their underlying infrastructure.

Qualifications

Successful candidates for this position will have:

• Proven technical experience
• Excellent time management, interpersonal, communication & problem solving skills
• Experience in managing third-party applications
• Passion for providing secure, robust application services
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (English)
• Experience with Java virtual machine-based and/or web-based application administration

Preferred:

• Experience with managing Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Collaborator, Jenkins, Artifactory or similar tools
• Experience with system management; Linux and Windows
• Experience with enterprise class database management platforms
• Experience with virtual servers and cloud services
• Experience with configuration management, automation, orchestration (for example, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
• Experience with log capture and correlation tools (for example, Splunk, ELK, etc.)
• Software development and design experience (esp. Python or similar language)
• Environment performance analysis and tuning experience

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar, or equivalent experience.

Location:

This position will be located in Taiwan.
