Job Description
We are looking for an IT professional who want to create business value by utilizing digital technologies in close partnership with the Digital Industries business. As an IT partner you should become familiar with the targets, strategy, challenges, and priorities of the business and identify digital opportunities, provide guidance and support to implement digital innovations. You will work with the business on strategic and innovation initiatives and process improvements via the use of technology. Business scope is Digital Industries US with focus on the Customer Service business as well as driving cross country activities for DI Americas. You will work closely with an experienced team of IT partner professionals, and you will have the opportunity to support digital initiatives across DI, across countries in the Americas and globally. This role will be based in Mexico and report to the Americas Digital Industries IT Partner organization. You’ll get the chance to work with an international team and on global topics. Responsibilities • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting stakeholder relationship with assigned customer (on all levels of the hierarchy - user / power user / management) • Act as trusted advocate of the business within the IT organization • Understand business environment, identify objectives, and manage the portfolio of demands, projects, and services • Plan, drive and manage demands and projects from beginning to end. • Manage the IT budget for the related Business (operations, projects, demands) • Support the implementation of global tools in alignment with HQ • Keep the management and employees informed on IT strategies, key priorities, initiatives, and projects • Have a good understanding of Siemens Cybersecurity Guidelines and recommend measures in projects to ensure Siemens data is managed in safe and secure manner. • Ensure alignment between IT requests from Customer Service Business Unit, IT Strategy and Digital Industries IT activities • Proactively recommend IT approaches to business opportunities and challenges • Take the lead to facilitate the resolution of IT issues • Align and share best practices with IT and Digital Industries IT organizations • Act as local partner for: wider IT initiatives, Key Users and other local Champions (ex. CRM, ERP) Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience • Preferably Bachelor’s Degree in engineering / IT / Computer Science. Other may be considered. • 5-10 years of experience in IT (preferably in customer facing IT role) or in other digital business functions • 5% traveling required • Process knowledge in product or service business (manufacturing or similar industry) • Profound knowledge in key IT applications (e.g. SAP, Salesforce) • Program / Project management skills • Capability to adapt communication and presentation methods to the different audiences (executive management, power user, end user) • Relationship management skills (Stakeholder mgmt., business /customer centricity, conflict management) • Effective team builder with strong collaboration skills in an diverse Eco system • Experience in requirement analysis, business case proposals and solution design • Versed with emerging technology trends: cyber security, cloud technology, Robotics automation, AI/ML and Data Analytics • Should have handled at least 2 mid-size project or/and 1 project in Digital technologies using Agile or similar project management methodology • Customer and value oriented • Willingness to learn, grasp and adapt new skills. • Enthusiastic and Experimental • Resilience Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience • Deeper competence in emerging technology trends or IT platforms • Experience in digital transformation initiatives *Siemens is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
