We are transforming to a Product Centric Organization utilizing Agile practices to help us work more incrementally and fluidly, allowing us to respond more quickly to changing business needs. We are currently seeking a Financial Accounting IT Product Owner to join our Operating and Enabling Value Chains & Platforms team. The candidate will preferably be based out of Eaton Center located in Beachwood, OH, but will consider candidates who could be based at any US Eaton facility. The Financial Accounting IT Product Owner owns the product / program roadmap, release schedule, and lifecycle of the Oracle EBS Financials systems including Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Accounts Payable and the supported integrations to all boundary systems. This role will be responsible for defining epics to meet customer and business needs, managing, and prioritizing the team’s backlog as well as the funding and portfolio of work (enhancements vs. health for example) for the product area. The Financial Accounting IT Product Owner is the first point of contact for the product area and partners with suppliers including (contracts, billing, roadmap, and support escalations). This Product Owner manages a team of individual contributors and their development. In this role you will: Design and communicate product vision, roadmap, and epics to meet customer/ business needs Communicate goals for product increments and releases and define goals for team sprints Support decomposition of epics into features and decompose features into user stories Own the team backlog and manages & prioritizes user stories and technical enablers Support estimation of epics, features, technical enablers, and user stories Support issue resolution on a product and solution level Tech Lead, Solution Architect, and Release Train Engineer to determine sequencing of user stories and technical enablers Manages and allocates product funding across lifecycle activities Responsible for product, data, policy, cybersecurity, and usage governance Functional expert in areas related to the product Understands commercial, business and go-to-market strategies where applicable Helps define operational processes alongside scrum master and technical lead Works with user experience and engineering leads to define and prioritize work, aligning to experience direction Evangelist for product throughout the enterprise and ensures proper usage Must ensure ongoing support, maintenance, uptime, performance, availability in collaboration with either support or technical lead For relevant product teams, manages individuals on the team and guides/coaches career development Works closely with business stakeholders, understands their priorities, defines business outcomes and KPIs for the product in collaboration with key stakeholders We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum 10 years of IT experience Must have a solid understanding of operations including end to end processes consisting of Order to Cash, Procure to Pay and financial business processes, strong program, and project management skills, as well as a solid understanding of Information Technology standards. Minimum 5 years’ experience directly managing teams. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US on a continuous basis without company sponsorship Position Criteria: Able to identify “best practices” and the ability to appropriately apply them across different businesses.
