IT Professional Development Program Coordinator

Our location in Lake county, IL currently has an opportunity for a IT Professional Development Program Coordinator.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Drive assignment identification process, member development planning, rotational forecasting and training and development activities required for ITPDP capability development
  • Support the transition and placement process for ITPDP resources to post-program openings
  • Support the approved annual budget, planning and tracking spend within target
  • Participate in the talent acquisition process for approximately 15 exempt new employees and approximately 25 hourly summer interns each year through a combination of virtual and on campus recruiting, professional affiliation expos or internal/external hiring events

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure pairing of mentors and engagement of senior leaders for multiple large annual events
  • Oversee and develop team of up to 30 exempt-level individual contributors. Personnel development through coaching and growth planning, and managing to current Abbott Performance Management process (including IT specific critical capabilities)
  • Oversee team of up to 25 nonexempt-level individual contributors.
  • Responsible for providing guidance, leadership, and partnership for multiple ITPDP operational committees
  • Management of data updates and reports for the ITPDP and IT Intern programs
  • Responsible for administration of ITPDP assignment rotations process and brokering of appropriate services, including Relocation, International Compensation, Global Deployment and Business HR
  • Coordination of ITPDP onboarding, rotating and offboarding of members in partnership with admin and assignment teams
  • Coordination of IT Intern onboarding, rotating and offboarding of members in partnership with UR, admin, and assignment teams
  • Ongoing management of ITPDP SharePoint or equivalent site(s)
  • Annually plan and deliver up to two orientations, up to two ITPDP summits and co-manage one cross-functional PDP Graduation event across programs
  • Annually plan and deliver IT specific intern events, including the IT Intern Showcase
  • Partner to continuously enhance and improve the model, process, and structure of the ITPDP, evolving role to ensure success of program modifications
  • Future global expansion will include responsibility to:
  • Work closely with global business partners to ensure continuity across regions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

  • 4+ years in IT or Human Resources
  • Knowledge of HR regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience working in a global shared services environment to effectively broker services among various functions including HR and IT.

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or IT related degree.
  • Acumen in Human Resources practices, policies, and compliance preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs for the transport and set up of material for recruiting, program and training events and activities is preferred.
