Micron’s Taiwan sites include sales and technical support in Taipei along with state-of-the-art fabrication facilities in Taichung and Taoyuan that together comprise the company’s DRAM Center of Perfection. The Center’s goal is to achieve the most efficient and effective technology transfer and manufacturing ramp by combining front- and back-end manufacturing, product engineering and technology development roles.

Job Description

As an IT Web Systems Administrator at Micron Technology, you will support the installation, maintenance, and administration of Micron’s web environment (Window 2008/2012/2016, Redhat, Web Server:Apachi/IIS). These systems are host platforms for Micron’s web, manufacturing, and application (client/server) systems. This role expected to work in Boise time zone (MDT). Web System Administrator specialize in web server support, user support, account and permission management, and the performance management, security, and tuning of systems. You will work with Micron’s Business Units to ensure solutions meet or exceed business requirements. You will be expected to suggest, promote and leverage published standards to minimize environment complexity and ensure regulatory as well as license compliance.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Work with the team and customer to analyze problem, find solution, maintain our web environment stability.
  • Manage web hosting service setup, configuration and standardization of features and usage.
  • Create system documentation, testing, training, and post-deployment assessments.
  • Install, configure, support, and maintain web solutions with current OS/software/firmware patches and upgrades.
  • Coordinate planned downtime and software installs of assigned servers.
  • Night shift working hour and provide 24x7 on-call technical support and expertise for customer issues
  • Evaluate and test new software for compatibility with the computing environment.
  • Propose and implement system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
  • Adhere to Micron’s security policies for all managed services.
  • Communicate and collaborate with peer groups (enterprise architects, security team, network team, etc.).

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering – Computer, or related field of study.
  • Good knowledge of TCPIP/Client-Server architecture/Web Sessions/Cookies/Caching mechanism.
  • Understand Windows Server/IIS/AD/ACL management and trouble shooting.
  • Understand PowerShell/Javascript/T-SQL developer related skill.
  • Understand LAMP solution management and trouble shooting.
  • Good knowledge for IIS ARR Module.
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and maintaining server systems related issues
  • Disaster recovery implementations.
  • Solid understanding and experience in system/network security.
  • Good knowledge for ITIL/ITSM.
