Job Overview
This position needs to show passion for developing new features and functions within the Salesforce environment in an agile manner. It will require that (s)he is excited to work with new technologies and is comfortable in one or more programming languages. In addition, the position requires to work well both within a team and independently. The role will be responsible to challenge technical demos and technical content provided by a managed service provider. In addition, this person will assess technical solutions to meet the business and technical requirements. Hence, it requires skills in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning or/and any other custom development tools.

Responsibilities
- Assess the development of the applications or enhancements done by the managed service provider
- Check if requirements are implemented with out-of-the-box functionalities and configuration or if required through Apex, Visualforce, Lightning or/and any other custom development tools and evaluate use of customization
- Automate business processes using Salesforce automation tools, such as Process Builder, Workflows, Formulas, Flow, Assignment Rules and email Alerts
- Working knowledge of modern web technologies such as cloud-based APIs and protocols (SOAP, REST, JSON), web frameworks, and responsive user experience.
- Perform technical analysis, design, configuration, and implementation support for system integrations and Salesforce customizations
- Test and analyze high quality code according to specifications
- Report and track issues and/or defects which may be reported as a result of faults in the production system
- Assist in writing technical approach and design documentation as required
- Experience building and supporting developer communities.
- Participate in daily scrum meetings, analyze user stories, identify/resolve gaps in functional user stories/business requirements
- Improve our development process (branching, testing, merging ...) and the required tools, e.g. Jenkins
- Work in cross functional teams with product owners, BSAs and QA engineers
- Understand Salesforce application architecture, complexities, components and dependencies
- Define and monitor compliance with code check-in, backup/recovery, and versioning processes
- Understand Salesforce instances maintenance, refresh, upgrades, account management etc.
- Understand using change sets, ANT, Eclipse, data loader, App Exchange etc.
