Job Description

We are looking for an IT-Support/Helpdesk Specialist to join a fast growing team.

You will work with the VP of Engineering and product development team to ship beautiful backend structures that will allow the company to build products that delight millions of users throughout Asia and beyond.

Continue improving the initial build of the group including the related tools used such as ticketing system, knowledge management tools. Re-organize internal network Infrastructure.

At Pomelo, each team member is expected to work autonomously, often setting their own objects and key results.

Responsibilities

  • OS (Windows Platform) maintenance. eg: update antivirus and security patches, install secure networks...
  • Unifi RouterOS, Firewall, Access point and switch experience
  • VPN experience
  • IP Telephony experience
  • Technical support for office, warehouse experience
  • Installing new hardware (servers, printers, computer workstations, etc.)
  • General IS (Information System) troubleshooting. For example, printer problem, office 365 problem
  • Troubleshooting the problem as users raise on Jira and solve the problem within SLA
  • Back up CCTV and monitoring CCTV in China office
  • Supervising/acquire hardware inventory in China office (laptops, screens, servers ,switch)
  • Overseeing security of all systems, especially the internet, and installing antivirus protection
  • Training staff on new systems.
  • Day to day admin and monitoring of internal network. (fix network faults, update routers)
  • Planning future improvements, suggesting IT solutions to business problems
  • System admin of G suite, internal Pomelo tools, Jira and Slack in company

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in IT-Support, Helpdesk, System administration
  • Ability to communicate in English at a high level
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, or IT-related field.
  • Unifi RouterOS would be considered a strong advantage.
  • Jira experience is a plus
