Job Description

Job Purpose:

Provide first through second level support for all end-users and infrastructure systems for Canada Goose China operations. Provide support in various IT areas including (but not limited to): end-user support, infrastructure systems (Firewall, Switches, File/Print, Active Directory and Corporate Wireless), phone/voicemail administration, and special projects as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

§ Provide Tier 1 and 2 support via the IT Support Queue (phone & email)

§ Record, track and escalate incidents via IT ticketing system

§ Setup new user accounts and configure required hardware

§ Support printers, copiers, and various other peripheral devices

§ Configure and image workstations, laptops and other computing equipment as required

§ Local network administration (Firewall/Switches)

§ Management of backup systems (on/off-site)

§ Monitor/respond/remedy infrastructure alerts

§ Windows Systems administration in a domain environment (File/Print/Domain Controller)

§ Provide training/onboarding and mentorship for future IT personnel

§ Support corporate mobile devices

§ Assist in various special projects (i.e., infrastructure, networking, security) as required

§ Vendor management

§ Provide exceptional service to all departments using available resources while meeting set SLA’s


Experience, Education and Designations:

§ Bachelor or equivalent

§ Certifications in network (CCNA) and Systems (Microsoft) or Virtualization(VCP) nice to have


Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

§ 5 Years

§ Basic hardware (desktop/laptop) troubleshooting

§ Microsoft Windows and Office troubleshooting

§ 3-5 Years

§ Supporting a corporate, technology-based environment with servers and workstations

§ VPN and remote user connectivity

§ Understanding of desktop imaging and deployment technologies

§ Backup/restore end-user and server systems

§ Demonstrated experience enforcing standards policies and procedures

§ 1-3 Years

§ Experience with administration of VMware

§ Administration of Skype phone/voicemail system

§ Active Directory administration

§ Network Security Management (Palo Alto Firewalls)

§ Attention to detail and committed to a high degree of accuracy

§ Consider transitioning to an Administrator role with long term aspirations to work in a global infrastructure team

§ Possess excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks based on severity

§ Ability to support end users using different methodologies (phone, in person, web)

§ Strong verbal and written skills and the ability to work courteously and effectively with all end users

§ Creativity and demonstrated ability working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of change and ambiguity is critical

§ Can easily make the needed connections between systems, processes, and individuals to facilitate change

§ Ability to work efficiently under pressure

§ Ability to multi-task

§ A team player who builds strong relationships based on trust and integrity

§ Embrace continuous improvement by proposing new and/or better ways of doing things

Working Conditions:

  • Usually work regular business hours. May require evenings and weekends to complete projects, remedy alerts or maintenance on systems

  • Work in offices

  • Travel to local or international sites, conferences and/or seminars (contains 25% travel time at minimum)

Lifting items up to 22 pounds may be routinely required
