What You Will Do:
Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a talented IT Systems Analyst to be part of a highly skilled IT team that supports data driven applications for a sophisticated Manufacturing Systems globally. This role provides the opportunity to candidates with strong IT background to apply their aptitude to plan, design, build, implement, improve and help efficiently maintain business and systems solutions used by manufacturing operations team. The role will entail being part of an agile software development team, requiring direct interface with cross functional business and IT team members for projects and support work alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support, enhance, and maintain multiple manufacturing applications and related tools in a process driven environment
- Hands-on responsibility in system prototyping, configuration, design, development, testing and production support for business critical systems
- Support of applications and systems predominately used in manufacturing, operations, distribution, and quality departments
- Work in an Agile scrum team for software development projects
- Partner with developers and team members from multiple disciplines across the globe to problem solve and provide solutions to technical challenges and requirements
- Act as a change agent in bringing in innovative ways to develop solutions and bring continuous improvement
Education
- BS Required or equivalent practical experience
How You Will Get Here:
- 5 years experience supporting manufacturing/operations applications/systems.
- 5 years technical experience in application development/support and Windows technologies.
- Strong understanding of Scrum development methodology
- Experience writing technical system design documents
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; Attention to details is critical
- Strong experience with incident management tools such as ServiceNow and/or Remedy
- Experience with change management and incident management procedures
Preference Given to Candidates with below Experience or Skills:
- Experience with Camstar Manufacturing / Camstar Designer or other manufacturing execution systems (MES) or LIMS systems is a huge plus
- Solid experience with object-oriented concepts
- Exposure to ITIL incident & change management
- Life Science industry background / knowledge of molecular biology, chemistry, and/or biology
- Experience with AWS/Azure, Cold Fusion, Power BI
- Automation and continuous improvement experience

Working Conditions:
Works in an office environment with frequent visits to manufacturing labs. Occasional travel may be required.
