IT Technician in the Information Technology Services (ITS) (Ref.: 495744) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a degree or a higher diploma in Information Technology (IT) related disciplines and at least 3 years' post-qualification experience in configuration of PC, PC applications and classroom support services. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. They should also have good knowledge and relevant experience in the following areas and perform the duties as assigned. Holders of MCSE 2016 and LPI will have an advantage.

• Setting up, maintaining and supporting a variety of computer equipment including Windows/Mac PC and laptop, virtual PC, and resolving related problems;
• PC cloning technologies and large-scale OS/application software upgrade;
• Windows and Linux server administration; and
• IT Service Management (e.g. ITIL), and Project Management (e.g. PRINCE2).

The appointee will work in the Learning Environment Services Team (LES) and carry out duties across an extended working day (8 am to 8 pm) according to a roster, and will be required to work evening shifts, during weekends and on public holidays occasionally.
