Function

Supports and performs the complete range of site IT services such as desktop, infrastructure, mobility, IT site operations, data management, conferencing facilities, incident/request fulfillment management, and security to meet site’s business requirements. Has thorough knowledge of hardware, software, data communications, and user applications areas. Position reports to the Site IT Manager.

Knowledge and Experience

-Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related IT discipline, or relevant experience.

-At least five years of experience in an IT support role.

-Comfortable with Windows operating systems, installing/uninstalling applications and the various components associated with the applications.

-Strong analytical, problem solving skills

-Capability to take direction, manage priorities and apply effective time management

-Must be able to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple competing tasks/demands.

-Able to source and direct vendors and contractors to complete site IT projects on schedule and within budget.

-Possess a good understanding of Microsoft Office 365 product suite.

-Competency with networking tools and platforms such as Azure Active Directory.

-Strong communications skills with ability to interact with all organizational levels in technical and non-technical terminology.

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with users, vendors and other IT service owners and service providers as needed to resolve issues with PCs, print devices, mobile devices, VoIP telephones, audio/video projectors and corporate and department-specific software.
  • Support and resolve end-user issues with Microsoft O365 products such as Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint Online, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI, Stream, Yammer, etc.
  • Provide training as necessary on Microsoft office applications.
  • Provide support for video conferencing and collaboration efforts using company-standard tools
  • Active Directory management
  • Utilize Albemarle’s standard processes to perform PC imaging, software deployment and server management.
  • Follow global service desk processes and SLAs for incident and request fulfillment
