Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
The role is responsible for managing the external data integration services for clinical trials that are globally conducted by Sanofi. S/he ensures the data required for clinical studies are properly captured and then transformed and integrated into Sanofi data platforms. S/he participates to the definition and implementation of the lifecycle management roadmaps for data integration services. S/he is in charge of delivering the appropriate level of support and the needed functional evolutions to the business solutions in her/his scope while optimizing the associated costs. To do so, s/he is in charge to monitor the support provided by Application Management Services team, leveraging services and outsourcing management to ensure the proper lifecycle management of the solutions in her / his scope. S/he also aims at optimizing the way solution is used and facilitating business process improvements in collaboration with the Service Owner and Service Line Leader. S/he should be able to participate to the development and testing phase within his/her Scope. In a fast changing technology environment, S/he will be expected to continuously improve the services in his/her scope by adopting new technology or innovative use of applications or tools.
SUPERVISED RESOURCES / MAIN INTERFACES:
It’s an individual contributor role. However, this role does need to supervise and manage the AMS (Application Management Services, provided by Cognizant) resources who are responsible for supporting the applications and solutions in his/her scope, to ensure the services are followed by the pre-defined SLAs and up to user satisfaction.

JOB-HOLDER REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Management, or related scientific or technical discipline (or comparable education & experience).

- AMS (Application Management Services) team
- Vendors, Partners and SaaS providers (Cloud providers like AWS and Google, BI solution providers like Qlik)
Build and communicate the solution portfolio roadmap
- Understand business vision, propose solutions and prioritize activities aligned with business objectives
- Collaborate to the lifecycle management roadmaps
- Manage the external data integration services and ensure it’s well developed and running to support the day-to-day Clinical operations
- Monitor and lead the support team, to execute lifecycle management roadmaps for business solutions, leveraging services or managing external provider relationship.
- Lead / contribute to the overall change management effort: promote and market the solutions, optimize application usage, explain functionalities, communicate on usage KPIs
- Monitor and ensure external partners to deliver the appropriate level of support
- Propose the needed functional evolutions for her/his solutions’ portfolio
- Propose, challenge and adapt the SLAs and KPIs associated to her/his solutions’ portfolio in collaboration with all stakeholders, take appropriate actions when needed
- Participate as main actor to the crisis management processes with ITS-Tech, external partner and Business stakeholders
- Adapt the solution portfolio to evolving ITS standards and technology evolution
- Optimize the cost of the solutions portfolio through solutions’ harmonization and retirements for instance
- Monitor the DRP testing if appropriate
- Develop and manage technical capabilities required to support the business operations
- Provide functional and technical expertise to solution design, ensuring business understanding, supporting business process improvements or evolutions, ensuring the execution of functional specifications, workload evaluations
- Ensure compliance with Legal, Regulatory and internal recommendations and standards (ITS QC, ITS Security, Architecture etc.)
- Ensure a shared understanding of business stakes among the team
- Contribute to the projects delivering solutions that is related to her/his solution
- Contribute to define the solution support model and onboard new applications in her/his scope
JOB-HOLDER REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Management, or related scientific or technical discipline (or comparable education & experience).
Experience & knowledge:
- 5+ years relevant experiences, preferably within a Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Clinical Research Operations or related environment
- General knowledge of information technology and best practices, systems development methodology, project management, customer relationship management, application support, & infrastructure operations
- Experiences in a data management role, ideally in an environment dealing with complex data and processes
- Strong and hands-on experience on one or more of the databases such as SQL, Oracle, Teradata, SAS etc.
- Strong ETL technical backaround and experience on Informatica PowerCenter development is a must
- Experience on Informatica B2B Data Exchange, Data Transformation is preferred
- Problem solving and Customer services orientation
- Able to work in a multi-task, multi-cultural, fast-paced global environment while still maintaining attention to details
- Good communication skills oral and written
- Fluent in English language, written and oral
- Strong technical knowledge and experience Informatica B2B is absolutely preferred
- Experience with Cloud computing environments and technologies, such as AWS, GCP etc.
- Knowledge of Clinical Data Management processes and Clinical Data Acquisition
- Experience with Big data and open source technologies
