Job Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced English teacher to join our international school in Guangzhou. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching IGCSE and IBDP English courses to students in Grades 9 to 12. The role involves delivering engaging and effective lessons, developing students' language skills, and fostering a passion for literature and communication within a diverse and dynamic learning environment.
Responsibilities:
• Teach IGCSE and IBDP English courses to students in Grades 9 to 12, covering a range of language and literature topics.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the IGCSE and IBDP curriculum frameworks and assessment criteria.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
• Provide regular feedback to students and parents on academic progress and personal development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver interdisciplinary units and projects.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school's English program.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in English or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in IGCSE or IBDP English.
• Valid teaching qualification/certificate.
• Strong understanding of the IGCSE and IBDP curricula and assessment practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Fluency in English is essential. Chinese language skills are an advantage but not required.
