Primary Purpose:
The Mercedes-Benz Financial Services (“MBFS”) Ignite Scholars program is designed to support the MBFS goals related to Social Responsibility and provides us with an opportunity to invest in our future.   MBFS Ignite Scholars program reinforces the DFS Americas Strategy of ‘Inspired People’.   It will support the effort to attract talent, which is a necessity in organizational growth across the globe. 


Major Projects:
The students will engage with teams in select departments to discover how they support overall corporate success.   The students will also work on personal development, via an Insights assessment, practicing presentation skills and learn the basics of managing personal finances.  Finally, the students will be introduced to the captive finance marketplace and how it relates to the success of the Mercedes-Benz brand partner.  


List of Activities:
The students will engage with various departments within MBFS (Corporate Communications, Finance and Controlling/Data Analytics, Legal and Compliance, Marketing and Digital Solutions Center in order to learn an overall aspect of the business. The students will meet with one department a week and during that week will have case studies provided by each department to provide hands on work experience.
