Import & Export Account Coordinator
Responsibilities
  • Work with suppliers/ customers/ sales agent, internal partners on contract preparation, L/C, or payment collection, shipping arrangement, delivery documentation, price adjustment, invoices issue and account reconciliation etc.
  • Follow up to ensure timely receipt of customer' fully complied L/C before shipments.
  • Work with customers and logistic service providers (LSPs) to develop monthly and weekly delivery shipping plan with the accurate payment plans by customers.
  • Communicate with sales / customers regularly to understand their operation status and update customers on shipping status.
  • Maintain sales transaction database in SAP;
  • Monitor logistics service supplier's performance and provide input for monthly critical metric review;
  • Assist to balance customs clearance handbook application and track to ensure the full compliance of actual import/export delivery record meeting handbook details.
  • Work with shipping agents to ensure smooth completion of import/export operations in compliance with customs requirements.
  • Assist in customer complaints balancing.
Key challenges faced on the role
  • Risk control, especially related to payment, PTA ownership, finance, legal & regulation compliance;
  • Properly lead order-to-cash operation in an increasing complexity of business model;
  • Deal with uncertainty on customer L/C, payment and shipping schedule;
  • Manage customers' high expectation in highly competitive market;
Requirements
Technical Proficiencies (detailed specification):
  • Good communication skill
  • Logical thinking
Educational background
  • College or university degree
Experience
  • 1~3-year work experience of international customer service, order to cash operation, particularly L/C operation is helpful.
  • Background in SAP functionality considered a plus.
  • Finance /Accounting background is an advantage.
Others
  • Mandarin speaking is needed. Good command on English in reading and writing. Microsoft office skill (Word, Excel) is required.
