Import and Export Manager

As an Import and Export Manager at Rolls Royce Power System, you will be responsible for handling all the import and export matters in compliance with the Customs policy, in charge of Internal training on Customs related laws and regulations as well as responsible for the China Customs AEO certification application, join AEO certification and supervise the implementation of routine works. Coordinate internal audit on import and export operations, and ensure the daily management of import and export conforms to the AEO enterprise credit certification standards.

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for the formulation and optimization of departmental management system and operation process, Handle importation & exportation formalities for parts business. Build up parts master list with HS code and necessary technical data for customs declaration purpose, manage and improve this list in daily operation
• Prepare all required documents for the importation & exportation, Co-ordinate with appointed customs brokers / forwarders for customs declaration and clearance according to the defined parts tariff rate when applicable. Manage the Customs brokers /forwarders and evaluate their performance regularly, Co-ordinate with suppliers for the follow up on the short supplies
• File and maintain all related shipping documents and import & export records with regards to completeness of records and easy traceability. Support engine sales department in engine export. Support production department in assembly parts import
• In charge of Customs brokers / forwarder audit, Responsible for the AEO certification application, coordinate with Internal Audit dept. and the 3rd party consulting firm for the internal audit on import and export business
• Responsible for organizing internal training on customs laws and regulations, including senior management and related departments
• Supervise subordinates; assess their performance, capability and training requirements to build up the team capacity

Key Experiences and any Qualifications

• Degree / Diploma holder in International Trade or similar, or possess equivalent qualifications
• At least 7 years relevant working experience, with min. 3 years in managerial or supervisory position
• Possess basic working knowledge of ERP and/or comparable computer software applications
• Familiar with import and export procedures
• Good command of both spoken & written English and Mandarin, good at office softwares
• Good communication, interpersonal and management skills
