Job Description

In Room Dining Server

Come work in this dynamic department in the heart of the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.  Working in conjunction with Housekeeping, Front Office, Stewarding and various Kitchens, the In Room Dining department serves the Chateau’s 550+ rooms.

What you will be doing:  

Deliver guest food orders in a timely manner and courteous manner

Check completed orders for accuracy and quality

Take guest orders over the phone in a professional and courteous manner

Respond to all guest queries regarding menu items and beverages

Provide consistently high standard of food and beverage service

Effectively handling guest concerns and exceed guest expectations

Providing general hotel and area information and activities

Process billing with the Micros POS system

Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives

Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives

Carry out any other tasks as assigned

 

Your experience and skills include:

Alberta ProServe Certificate required

Minimum of 1 year experience in food & beverage industry an asset

Working knowledge of Micros, Property Manager and Microsoft applications an asset

Self‑motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions

Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision

Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure

Physically fit to lift trays repeatedly, stand and walk for the duration of the shift.

 

You may be required to work on holidays, weekends, overnights and other non-day shifts. Submission of your application to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise indicates that you are able to meet these requirements as needed.
