POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Logistics Support Manager, Integrated Supply Chain Solutions (ISCS) is responsible for supporting APAC Region wide, the following range of tasks for our customer.
- Monitoring / tracking all inbound shipments both direct 3PL and 4PL shipments ex origin supply to destination delivery points.
- Ensuring the update and visibility of all shipment milestones as they happen
- Producing / contributing to the production of service delivery KPI’s.
- Supporting APAC based initiatives as a member of the supply chain team
This position reports through to APAC Regional KAM,
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Managing all transportation in origin sales region (incl finished goods, care products)
o Main interface for client internal channels and sales teams
o Act as 1st escalation level for client with all transportation related topics (eg. Ad hoc report, export/import customs clearance, special shipment instruction)
o Drive strategic customer and internal process improvement initiatives including Corrective Action Plans
o Evaluate regional customer satisfaction and drive continuous improvement of partnership
o Coordinate regional performance issues resolution
o Participate in joint customer visits with GAM/KAM
o In charge of ad-hoc quotations requested by customer
o Coordinate/ address specific customer requirements within Agility and other 3pl Operations
o Handle additional tasks according to specific customer SOP / IOP requirements
o Able to run distribution project in the sales regions and globally
o Develop Carrier / 3pl relationships and compliance on agreed KPI’S delivery dates
o Compile Daily status report – (build up of DSR’s from ALPS as per agreed shipment report format)
o Update SECT events and shipment details for non-Agility shipments until EDI set up.
o Monitor shipments milestones that are reported by ALPS and ensure that PODs are available for all deliveries within 24 working hours of a delivery having been made.
o Issue daily reports to ALSP’s to ensure accurate tracking data and escalate as required
o Performance Reporting of ALSP′s (eg:- On Time Delivery)
o Quality & Performance Audits (eg:- Compliance on Phone Batteries) – To be defined
o Support the Continuous Improvement programme. To be defined and reviewed during QBR’s Conduct Weekly Thu Operational ALSP calls / Weekly Fri Global Management Calls / Monthly Business Reviews / QBR Business Reviews
o Participate in the Weekly Operational ALSP Calls
? Attendees – Minimum of ACT team & Clients GLOBAL (Head Of Distribution & Logistics) & Relevant ALSP
? Scope – Review of performance successes and failures for the prior week and any critical issues.
? Escalation of issues to relevant management teams. Acts as an early warning system for issues within the network or priority shipment management.
- Weekly Global Management Calls
? Attendees – Minimum of ACT team with the Global (Head Of Distribution & Logistics)
? Update discussion regarding any current issues with ALSP’s requiring Management escalation.
o Oversee and drive cost and service optimization within the network
o Transportation Claim Handling –To be defined
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business or supply chain would be a significant advantage,
? Strong knowledge and background (minimum 5+ years) in freight forwarding, logistics, warehouse management, material handling and logistics technology and tools. Specific ISCS product operations knowledge would be an advantage.
? Successful history of operational management, problem resolution and / or solution design
? Strong business commercial acumen essential, operations processes, and technical aptitude
? Project management and project planning skills an advantage
? Excellent communication, networking, interpersonal and influencing skills needed to communicate and command respect at all levels, manage in a matrix environment, and create networks across diverse technical, cultural, and language groups.
? Training Functionality – Must be able to train and develop additional resources that can execute commercially and operationally above stated tasks, and develop a regional skillset group to reduce travel requirements and work alongside sales.
? Travel. This position requires infrequent travel (up to 20% of full time) to meet with internal, external client customers, 3pl operations located in the region.
? Good command of Cantonese, English and Putonghua
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, to support stated tasks in above points.
