Siemens Grid Software are recruiting for an Incident and Problem Manager to join our business in Nottingham (hybrid working on offer). What part will you play? Review and gap analysis of all current processes and policies within the functional area to identify areas requiring focus and improvement. Management of the Incident management approach to include, but not be limited to:- Ensuring adherence by all IT Operations teams to the defined process and policy Regular monitoring of incident management within IT Operations teams Identifying continuous improvement opportunities to improve the quality of service delivered and reduction in incidents raised Definition and delivery of a problem management approach to include: Definition of all relevant processes and policies including engagement with all relevant teams Production of problem management process and policy documentation Management of the problem management activities on an ongoing basis, including the identification of recurrent incidents that require management through the problem management processes Continuous improvement of the delivery of service using the defined problem management approach Definition and delivery of a major incident management approach to include: Definition of all relevant processes and policies including engagement with all relevant teams Production of major incident process and policy documentation Management of the major incident activities on an ongoing basis including chairing the review meetings, production of outputs and management of all actions to closure Driving the continuous improvement of the delivery of service through incident and problem management activities Creation and management of reporting on functional area including volume of incidents and problems and the resolution of major incidents. Any liaison or management of third parties as required Mediating between conflicting requirements and opinions to find the appropriate approach What does it take to be successful in this role? Relationship building, management and influencing skills A self-starter with the ability to drive excellent performance in areas of responsibility Comfortable challenging and driving the focus and delivery of senior managers Management of multiple competing areas of priority and good prioritisation capabilities Ability to challenge the status quo, identify and deliver continuous improvements Excellent communication skills, both written and oral – and presentation and facilitation skills Be able to work with minimal supervision but escalating for support and coaching as required. ITIL qualification (desirable) Experience of Lean and Agile methodologies (desirable) We’ve got quite a lot to offer. How about you?
