What You’ll Do: As a Junior Industrial Designer, you will design world-class, end-to-end experiences that are embracing Design Excellence. By harnessing trend, customer and technology insights, you will develop products and experiences using an integrated design, engineering, and business approach. You will play an integral role in our overall Design team and will be part of an eclectic mix of great designers and craftspeople. We are looking for an inspiring individual with the ability to drive design experiences from concept through production. You will work across all levels of the design organization, creating design vision, seeking alignment and inspiring others to action. Personality behaviors: • Live, breathe, and love design • Passionate design thinker, craftsperson with deep curiosity • Highly driven and proactive self-starter – ability to work independently toward project goals and timelines with little direction • Proven ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously • Willingness to take direction and learn from others • Optimistic outlook, “Can Do” attitude #### Position Requirements: Basic Requirements: • Bachelor degree in Industrial Design • 1+ years relevant experience in design strategy, industrial design including colors, materials & finishes, ideally in a consumer electronics product environment. • Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe CS and 2D/3D CAD Preferred Requirements: • Master degree in Industrial Design • Understand the role design can play and how it can drive strategic growth for our customers • Outstanding skills in ideation, concept visualization, form development, CAD, model making and rapid prototyping • Excellent communication skills and storytelling communicating design thinking, presenting to all levels of executive leadership • Build relationships and appropriately influence relevant internal teams and direct business contacts to achieve short- and long-term goals. • Understands latest CE technologies and manufacturing processes • Well-versed in user-centered design methods and techniques • Ability to visualize the end to end experience beyond just hardware • 2D skills: excellence sketching, fluent Adobe Creative Suite • 3D skills: Study models, breadboards, proof of principle models and prototypes • 3D CAD fluency (SolidWorks), KeyShot (animation is a plus) • Collaborative team player, Self-motivated, pro-active thinker • Good verbal and written skills in English • Ability to travel to international sites Why Lenovo?
