Job Description
Eaton’s Bussmann division is currently seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Juarez facility. The Industrial Engineer is responsible for capturing, analyzing and managing data for the optimization of processes and resources to improve production performance. Responsible for conducting studies and recording cycle times, movements, methods and speed involved in the performance of production and other operations of workers in order to establish systems for standardization, continuous improvement, efficiency and productivity. In this role, you will: Study times, motions, methods, and speed involved in manufacturing processes and other operations to establish standard production rate and improve efficiency. Perform assestments to identify Head Count needed or reductions. Prepare concept sketches for enhancement of production layouts to improve efficiency. Investigate and assists in the design of work stations to conform to the principles of human factors for increased productivity. Collect and compiles data in support of projects involving techniques such as work sampling / or time study. Observe workers operating equipment or performing tasks to determine time involved and fatigue rate, using timing devices. Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization. Lead revisions for operation methods, material handling, equipment layout, or other changes to increase production or improve standards. Observe worker using process documentation to verify equipment/tools is being operated according to standards. Evaluate processes and review work stations in order to establish efficient product combinations. Develop management system for the control of controllable documents for the manufacturing engineering department. Determine the human resource and skills required to increase production and create performance standards. Develop digital and visual systems for monitoring efficiency and productivity. Promote application of Industry 4.0 (AGV's, Digitalization). Conduct assessment programs to determine optimal inventory levels. Develop flexible or integrated production systems and procedures. Complain Company’s Health, Safety, Quality, Cost and Environmental requirements. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Processes, Electromechanic Engineering or similar. Study and record cycle times, routings, motions, method and material flows. Perform manufacturing floor layouts to improve efficiency. Expirince in AutoCAD o similar tool for Layout analysis. Develop system for installed capacity analysis. Knowledge in Lean tools such as: VSM, SMED, 5s, TPM, SW. Knowledge in Ergonomic human factors, rules and standars. Working knowledge of create process documents and Engineering documents. Working knowledge of trainer of people in processes and methods. Working knowledge of Industry 4.0 and Process Document Digitalization. Working knowledge of M.S Office. Knowledge in SAP. Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred Qualifications: Study and record cycle times, routings, motions, method and material flows. Perform manufacturing floor layouts to improve efficiency. Develop system for installed capacity analysis. Knolodge in Lean tools such as: VSM, SMED, 5s, TPM, SW. Knolodge in Ergonomic human factors, rules and standars.
