The Industrial Engineering (IE) Department manages factory capacity strategy and layout planning, equipment purchases and inventory management, and drives efficiency in productivity and cost to meet customer demand. As part of the Assembly and Test Manufacturing (ATM) Industrial Engineer team, you will work across business units to innovate and drive equipment productivity to world class levels. The successful candidate will partner with cross functional groups stakeholders around the globe and locally, having visibility and direct impact to the success of our ATM and our Corporation. Responsibilities includes but are not limited to:

Planning and capacity duties, productivity and floor performance review and systems automation efforts.

Determines the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.

Develops metrics to measure equipment and factory capacity and output, and to identify equipment and process flow bottlenecks.

May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may plan and schedule training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.

Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.

Based on these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.

Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.

Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Requirements listed below could be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork, classes and/or research projects.

Minimum Qualifications:
Active student of bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Product Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field of study.
70 percent of courses approved.
Costa Rica Work Permit.
Intermediate English Level.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with systems/reporting automation skills.

Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Power Point, etc.).
Experience with statistical tools: JMP, or similar.
Experience with programming and coding.
Experience with reporting tools: Power BI, PowerPoint, or similar.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
