Eaton’s Commercial and Residential Distribution Solutions (CRDS) Division is currently seeking an Industrial Engineering Supervisor to join our team. This position is based at our Cleveland, TN facility. Relocation assistance will be provided. Position Overview: The Industrial Engineering Supervisor will perform industrialization activities for new and existing products/projects on switch products and enclosures with a target to meet defined project timeline, cost, and quality requirements. Performs product industrialization engineering work from design to implementation; communicates expectations, plans and requirements and also coordinates all work within the scope of assigned projects. Serves as a consultant, providing technical information and engineering recommendations that assist various projects / processes. Supervises volume and quality of work from industrialization team in the US and abroad. Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. In this function you will: Supervise industrialization team members in the US and abroad. Lead and assure the on-time and smooth implementation of the changes in new existing products. Work independently and in collaborative teams with other industrial engineers, design engineers, technicians, and other functions within Eaton facilities domestic and international and with contract labor. Review product design documentation and pursue higher possible product/process manufacturability and production setup. Work with suppliers to ensure the best manufacturing process and that the documented requirements & specifications are interpreted and implemented correctly. Review purchased parts and assemblies for low to medium volume manufacturability and determine the appropriate manufacturing process to produce parts. Develop DfMAs, process maps, PFMEAs, control plans, manufacturing plans, and process routings with input from team members. Initiate and prepare specifications for products, equipment, and processes while maintaining awareness of and control of costs according to project scope including marketing scope negotiation. Develop time studies for existing and new assemblies to measure impact of changes and development of accurate costing. Advise management on future project capital and industrialization expense costs. Lead/develop training on products and skill sets (Six Sigma, Lean). Mentor technicians and entry level engineers. Lead process improvements as related to product implementation. Manage activities and budgets for manufacturing and process improvement projects, including the development of the project management requirements and all implementation documentation. Provide functional and technical support to the organization as required to support goals Comply with and support environmental, health, and safety policies to maintain a safe workplace and compliance with government regulations. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technical Science from an accredited institution Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years of experience in supervision of people role Equipment, tooling, and fixture design experience Position Criteria: Applies advanced tools in problem solving and project management to solve technical issues.
