JOB PURPOSE

The role will be responsible for technically managing, defining and drafting work cycles from development to production start-up. The purpose is to create a master design for luxury bags and validate it from development to production start-up, oversee the industrialisation of the processes and of the products.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define the range of type of workings and operations needed for product tuning.
  • Carry out the engineering of the models to assure correct production times and costs in compliance with the quality standards required by the Company.
  • Interfacing with Plant Product Development, Pattern Making, Prototyping, Production and Quality teams to create a technical end to end process flow.
  • Manage aesthetical and qualitative requests in a continuous improvement perspective.
  • Manage Technical inspectors for the external groups' industrialization.
  • Manage the identification of the different assembly options to fulfil product/market requirements.
  • Perform time and methods analysis.
  • Implement new processes with a continuous improvement perspective.
  • Coordinate the prototype industrialisation activities both inside and outside (external suppliers) the Company.
PERSONAL PROFILE
  • Technical degree/prototyping experience.
  • Significant experience at a leather goods processing plant.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes (preferable).
  • Knowledge of office package and mastering three-dimensional cad usage.
  • Industrialisation, production and quality and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Passionate about leather goods development and production.
  • Team management experience.
  • Fluent in english.
