Job Description
Eaton’s Power System division is currently seeking a Industrialization Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Queretaro facility. The Industrialization Manager is responsible for lead the development of manufacturing processes necessary for the successful industrialization of new product development projects for the LIPE (Line Installation and Protective Equipment) business unit. This includes the development of tools, assembly fixtures, and processes used to develop the wide variety of products that LIPE produces such as, molded rubber products, switches, cut-outs, fuses, and arresters. Some activities related with the position will be: Be the primary Industrialization interface on cross-functional product development teams. Coordinate the establishment and set up of manufacturing activities that include prototype builds, production line set-up, material handling, and shipping/receiving processes at production site (Eaton & non-Eaton facilities) while ensuring on-time execution and perfect quality products. Participate in DFMEA, lead PFMEA, and establish Control Plans for new products. Lead PROLaunch activities associated with Industrialization Plan, Establish, and Maintain an Industrialization Lab in the QRO MFG site. NPD Capital Administrator Drive improvements in the mfg tools and processes to reduce NPI project durations. Create and optimize manufacturing process layouts. Create and implement document controls, including work instructions. Utilize lean manufacturing tools and techniques in manufacturing and business processes. Coordinate the development and build of process equipment needed for new product programs. Work closely with operational functions such as quality, manf. Eng, sourcing, and safety functions on assigned projects. Review product engineering documentation, such as assembly drawings and BOMs. Train employees on proper procedures for manufacturing and assembling products. Assist with maintaining ISO certification. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline. Master’s preferable Minimum 5 Years work experience in Industrialization engineering or combined Design Engineering and Manufacturing process experience. Demonstrated knowledge of PROLaunch or equivalent phase/gate development process. Ability to apply problem solving skills including 8D, Six Sigma and Design of Experiment. Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in Injection Molding, Light Assembly, and/or Test Systems & Equipment Successful candidate will have knowledge of manufacturing processes such as material management, manufacturing operations, quality processes and procedures, project management and Lean manufacturing. Proficiency with many application software packages such MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, CAD design and statistical analysis is required.
