About the role

You will join a new team which just started to build the Information Management function of the future and work directly with Group Information Manager. You have the opportunity to co-develop and apply an Information Management approach that is innovative, steps away from traditional ways of working and embraces agility and simplicity. You will be an active contributor to our journey of creating a better everyday life for the many people by strengthening the foundational nature of a consistent information flow across Inter IKEA Group.

By being pro-actively involved with Information Management and Enterprise Architecture, you own, create and manage the group-wide Information architecture, associated artefacts and design principles. You provide the strategic thought leadership, market analysis, technical assurance related to the development, evolution and delivery of enterprise information architecture. Part of your role will be developing the roadmap of the evolution of Information architecture from current to future state and communicating and enforcing architectural policies, rules, and standards.

You will be accountable for leading and delivering technology strategies, partnering with project teams to design, create and re-use enterprise information assets, services, infrastructure and business systems. You will oversee mapping of data component interdependencies and ensure that Information architecture decisions are consistent between functions/teams and leverage opportunities for common approaches. You will take responsibility for providing information architecture direction, support and guidance to other IT teams, as required.

Another part of your role will be analysing IT industry and market trends and determine potential impact upon Inter IKEA Group’s information architecture. You will ensure correspondence of enterprise-level data model both to business requirements and to non-functional requirements, including data volume, frequency needs, and long-term data growth. You will take responsibility to execute impact assessment on target vs existing architecture or project architectures. Since this is a new role in a new team, you understand that changes in responsibilities may arise over time.

Qualifications

 

About you

You share and live the IKEA culture and values, have a genuine interest in home furnishing and have working experience in European companies and similar industry (retail franchise, consumer goods supply chain).

You are humble, straight forward and curious. You have strong project experience and at the same time you have excellent communication skills with strong presentation skills and able to gain buy-in. You have ability to balance business needs with IT capabilities. You are proficient in English.

You are a strong team lead. You have the ability to manage multiple teams with different focus. An open-minded team player with the ability to build trustful relationships. You enjoy working in a vibrant and changing multi-dimensional environment and are happy to travel.

You are an expert in Information Architecture. You have proven experience between 8-10 years in related fields of expertise. You have experience in a digital / data driven transformation. You finalized a university degree and ideally a post-master qualification in the field of information management.

You have strong analytical skills. You have data modelling expertise and a good understanding of the information flows, underlying business processes and systems. You have practical experience using Data Modelling tools. You are able to assess how technology changes impact data.

You are excellent in the use of data and helps ensure that the data is properly defined and used throughout the enterprise. You have strong experience of data processes such as data cleansing, master data management and meta-data. You have excellent knowledge of data quality, policies and standards including knowledge of industry standards and trends.

You have solid process viewpoint. You have knowledge of the business practices and processes and have good understanding of Information Governance and Data Quality methodologies.

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) based in Delft (The Netherlands), reporting to the Information Management Lead.
