Job Description

Are you passionate about using your data analysis skills to make a tangible security difference? Do you enjoy learning about security threats and determining how to increase Intel's security posture? The Platform and Security Services Team is seeking a well-rounded Information Security Analyst to provide strategic and tactical security information to support security operations, identify gaps and improve the effectiveness of the security controls used to support and improve all functions across the Platform and Security Services (PSS), Infrastructure and Information Security (I2), and Intel Information Technology (IT).

This role requires a mix of strong data analysis skills, cyber security expertise, and software development skills. You will analyze and leverage the data, apply your security knowledge to identify the associated risks, and develop actionable security solutions that help reduce Intel's risk posture. You will interpret and present the data to all levels within the organization to drive action and results.

As an Information Security Analyst, your responsibilities will be, but may not be limited to:

  • Develop and support security solutions that integrate and interface with customers.
  • Influence senior management and security tool development using data to drive business decisions and improve Intel's security posture.
  • Analyze data from any IT or InfoSec source, including, but not limited to asset, vulnerabilities, patching, compliance, network, waivers, workers, locations.
  • Assist with ongoing capability development on Intel's big bet platforms (SEER, Vulnerability Checker, Kafka, Splunk) including future integrations/development.
  • Work closely with software development engineers, system engineers, and other information security teams in supporting information security projects and initiatives.
  • Complete ad-hoc reporting and data requests as needed.
  • Support and work in an Agile and DevOps team focused on security analytics and solution development.


Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent degree) in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or any other science/engineering related field.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting Information Security and/or Information Technology operations and service delivery.
  • 3+ years of experience applying Application/Software Development Life Cycle, Agile DevOps, SAFe model.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Security/Systems, Project Management, or any other science/engineering related field.
  • Professional certifications through industry recognized organizations such as: ITIL, PMI, SANS, ISACA, ISC2 (e.g., CISSP).

Experience in:

  • Advanced data analytics, developing action plans, presenting to, and influencing senior management / key decision makers.
  • Data modeling, and management of large data sets, including SQL Server (SSIS), Power BI, and Splunk.
  • Microsoft SQL Database administration experience, developing Stored Procedures in SQL, programming/scripting experience (e.g., C#, Java, Python, PowerShell, Ansible), Agile CI/CD environments.
  • Agile/SAFe development methodologies.
  • Using Rally/JIRA Align agile tools.

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
