Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the design, engineering, and support of Intel's Code Signing service. In this role you will help to plan, design, develop and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including code signing tools.

Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:

  • Analyzes requirements, tests, and integrates application components
  • Ensure the system improvements are successfully implemented
  • Drives unit test automation
  • Be well versed in the latest development methodologies like Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and test-driven development
  • Enable solutions that take into account security, scalability, manageability, usability, and other critical factors that contribute to complete solutions.
  • You will be working as part of an Agile team that contributes to the in-house software development of Intel's code-signing system.


Your passion and expertise in Security Engineering will help to advance Intel's cryptographic capabilities and improve its security posture; through this position, you will also be getting exposure to cryptographic algorithms and protocols.

Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Cyber/Information Security, or any other related field
  • 4+ years of practical security experience with an emphasis on engineering and application support/development, including one or more of the following:
    • 4+ years of Linux administration (i.e., installing, configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting in a Linux environment)
    • 4+ years of Windows administration (i.e., installing, configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting in a Linux environment)
    • Understanding of application/systems support
    • Script writing for automation and integration (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
    • Supporting web servers (e.g., Apache)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Code signing processes and/or Public Key Infrastructure
  • Enterprise computing environments, including application architectures, network, and application protocols, and database reporting
  • SQL databases (e.g., Postgres, MSSQL) and / or NoSQL DBMS (e.g., Couchbase, Mongo, etc.)
  • Monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Splunk ITSI)
  • Working with the following: SSO, LDAP, PAM, and other basic Linux authentication integrations, Gitlab or other code management/version control platforms, Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.), Docker and/or Kubernetes,
  • Lifecycle Management tools, Application Security Testing tools
  • Vulnerability Management, including an understanding of the process and activities required in vulnerability scanning, identification, and reporting through to vulnerability remediation
  • Frameworks, standards, and best practices (i.e., NIST, OWASP, PCI, ISO, COBIT)
  • Security industry certifications such as GSEC or CISSP

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$113,210.00-$187,350.00

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
