What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will:

• Lead and be accountable for the Agile Product team and portfolio of software applications that support corporate affairs business and priorities

• Be accountable for robust product governance via PI planning aligned to short- and longterm business and technology strategy needs

• Build and manage the product roadmap and secure necessary investments; manage product TCO, budgets and forecasts

• Implement a robust DevOps pipeline for the product using Amgen’s CI/CD frameworks and tools

• Drive a Product First attitude amongst the team and peers with a goal towards global expansion of the product’s capabilities

• Drive an attitude of excellence in running robust, reliable, and secure software products following Amgen’s software development, operating procedures and change management requirements

• Unblock and drive engagement to improve results delivery for the team and the organization

• Develop and mentor the team for higher performance and individual career growth. Act as a role model demonstrating leadership behaviors

• Serve as a SAFe coach for the team and mentor them in Agile product delivery; demonstrate and serve as a mentor for Lean-Agile Leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Information Technology or Software Engineering experience

Or

Master’s degree and 6 years of Information Technology or Software Engineering experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Information Technology or Software Engineering experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 10 years of Information Technology or Software Engineering experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Technology or Software Engineering experience

And 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

Preferred Qualifications:

• Consistent track record of staff development while focusing on long-term career planning and yearly goal setting.

• Ability to think strategically about technology and recommend solutions that align with DTI and business strategy

• Demonstrated high learning agility with a solid sense of ownership, vitality, and drive

• Excellent verbal communication skills, interpersonal and decision-making skills

• Exposure to complete product development life cycle – from requirements to integration and testing

• Working understanding of Agile, Scrum, Design Thinking, and Lean Startup principles

• At least 2+ years of Agile experience, Scrum Master or SAFe Certification preferred

• Ability to work in a changing environment while handling multiple projects simultaneously

• Ability to coordinate self and others, including effective time management, prioritization, and leadership skills
