JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Infrastructure Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

The Engineer will be responsible for delivery and operation of Infrastructure solution for the Universal Beijing Theme Park & Resort. This role will be a mix of hands-on experience on Smart Building, IT HW, Cabling, DC operation, and VMS/ACS deployment.

• Managing integrators, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring highest levels of performance.

• Operate ELV and Security systems

• Asset Management and IT equipment installation

• Constantly improving all QC, processes and procedures.

• Assisting & managing relationships with external vendors & contractors

• Ensuring we adhere to and exceed local Health & Safety standards in all Data Centers and ELV systems

• Creating and maintaining metrics on all aspects of ELV, and utilizing those metrics to drive positive changes

• Assisting in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.

• Develop solution for Smart Building and IoT

S/he will work closely with the design team, tech department, park operation team, hotel operation team and third parties to design and full fill their requirement. S/he also needs to cooperate with major generator contractors and manage other specific integrators to make sure all electronic engineering to de deployed accurate with good quality control.

The individual will focus on developing detailed plans to implement infrastructure aligned to multiple business groups like construction & implementation, guest services, revenue operations, food & beverage, technical services, and others.

This is a key position in a lean team focused on opening Universal Parks & Resort’s first theme park in China and will require an individual that can work effectively & positively in a highly complex and dynamic working environment. S/he will be asked to balance a broad set of priorities and ensure progress is made on all tracks of work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: See below

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES IT Infrastructure Operation: · Partner with development team and General Contractors to deliver infrastructure solutions for ELV, Security, DC and IoT. · Develop & manage operation standard, plan and process. · Field delivery, and need to coordinate among different integrators and GCs to drive solution delivered properly in field; · Daily operation on network system · Monitoring performance, and provide status updates and optimization solution; · Evaluate risk(s) and effectively create mitigation plans; Technology leadership: · Deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable Infrastructure; contribute technically to projects; · Manage technology roadmap · Implement and manage Cabling system, ELV system and DC · Provide technical subject matter and thought leadership within the area of application/infrastructure implementation weighing the pros/cons of design and technology decisions; · Evaluate various frameworks, technology and platforms to deliver world-class systems & infrastructure. · Architect cohesive & innovative enterprise solutions that bridge operational systems, business intelligence, mobile & advanced capabilities;

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10+ years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years of solid experience of Data Center management for multi-national companies.

• At least 5 years of experience as ELV and DC operation specialist

• At least 3 years of experience supporting cloud technologies.

• Proven experience of working with ITIL or similar framework.

• Proven experience leading projects related to the duties required.

• Excellent logical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• In-depth knowledge and solid experience at Uptime Standard
• Good understanding and hands on experience at server, storage and network management
• Good understanding and hands on experience at VMS and ACS system
• Be part of IT HW Execution which is responsible for implementation, deployment, operation and product life cycle management of IT infrastructure. Including both internal campus/trading IT and external (client facing) and internet connectivity
• Manages the day-to-day operations by monitoring DC performance, configuration, maintenance and repair. Ensures that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained.
• Develop operational procedure and tools to support daily operation of DC and ELV system
• Establishes guidelines and methods for IT hardware installation and management
• Work in a global team to lead DC and ELV design and implementation
• Develops tools, procedures, and training sessions for local IT to support DC and ELV Operations
• Work with local service providers, vendors, stock exchanges for IT HW setup.
• Work with internal and external clients to understand the network requirements and provide network solutions
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, inventory and documentation for network infrastructure

• Other responsibilities as directed.

Preferred

• Experience on project management, vendor management including contract negotiation and service level management is a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

• Self-motivated & accountable, with a high level of commitment to responsibility;

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with all stake holders;

• Language – Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English;

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or Engineering (or equivalent relevant work experience).

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems is highly desirable
