Our mission is to provide a controlled, secure, and predictable production environment. The Role We are seeking an Infrastructure Operations Analysts – Backup/Storage/Restoration Technologists. As a Backup Storage Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering, administering, and supporting a new cyber resiliency backup and recovery solution. You will have a strong technical expertise in the areas of backup and recovery systems and integrating them to backup databases and VMWare vCenter servers. You will gain a cross-functional understanding of the BNY Mellon’s businesses and how we protect our data and assets. Additionally, you will work with other subject matter experts and resources at BNY Mellon to deploy a cyber-resiliency backup and recovery solution. As a Backup/Storage/Restoration SME, you will be supporting the restoration of files using multiple backup tools related to Spectrum Protect, TSM, Avamar, and NetApp Snapshots. You will focus on addressing backup failures that occur at the server level across Unix and Windows infrastructure. You will have a solid understanding of both Spectrum Protect and Avamar with experience on documenting these processes for the purpose of helping develop process improvements. You will help transition the group processes to automation where possible, help develop the evolution of the ticket process, and take on ownership of continuous improvements. The Operating systems you will be working on are AIX, Linux, Solaris, and Windows, with multiple versions of each As a Storage Administrators you will be part of our Production Services Migration team. Our Migration Services team is a cohesive unit of Storage Technologists that specialize in storage migration on all globally supported storage platforms (block/file/object). We provide storage services to our internal client across a wide array of storage technologies and vendor platforms. You will focus on RTB storage activities and support strategic initiatives as set forth by the BNY Mellon Senior Leadership team. Qualifications This is talent pipeline requisition.
