The opportunity:

Join us as an Infrastructure Engineer in this newly created role to contribute to the successful enablement of the AIA ANZ enterprise-wide IT strategy, vision, and roadmap. You’ll bring strong communication skills, flexibility, team focus and a customer centric lens.

As an Infrastructure Specialist, you’ll develop a capability that ensures optimal technology infrastructure for all of AIA Australia & New Zealand that will;

  • Assist in the design, planning, management, and implementation of enterprise wide infrastructure services.

  • Identifying opportunities for service quality improvement and cost savings where appropriate.

  • Ensure effective partnering with application teams and key service providers to support technology infrastructure services and enterprise batch scheduling.

  • Have input to medium and long-term technology infrastructure strategy and direction.

About the role:

Enterprise Batch Scheduling

  • Work with application and system owners to gather requirements needed to design, implement, and change complex batch job schedules using the corporate scheduling software in Development/Test and Production environments.

  • Manage Control-M Servers / agents using Control-M Enterprise Manager.

  • Control-M Server/Agent monitoring and troubleshooting issues including root cause analysis of scheduling issues & job failures.

  • Create / Modify / Monitor batch jobs on all platforms.

  • Maintain all Control-M scheduling definitions and create reports using Control-M/EM reporting facilities.

Infrastructure Operations Support

  • Assist in the design, planning, management, and implementation of enterprise wide infrastructure services.

  • Work with service providers to maintain availability, uptime and stability of all systems and infrastructure services.

  • Support Infrastructure services managed in-house and ensure availability & reliability of services for AIA business.

  • Assists with the implementation of necessary End of Life remediation and/or version currency in technology infrastructure assets.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement constructive change.

  • Participates in the design, implementation, and execution of backup and disaster recovery plan for infrastructure solutions

  • Ensure technology infrastructure is provided effectively on a 7x 24-hour basis.

About you:

  • Have solid technical experience within enterprise environments with a focus on data centers and facilities, servers, storage, network, data protection, cloud platforms and related enterprise software across these technology stacks

  • Experience in Enterprise batch scheduling using Control-M including administration, batch job creation & scheduling, reporting & troubleshooting.

  • Experience in Windows Server Systems, Linux Server Systems, Virtualization, Security, file systems, Backup & Restore, patch management, capacity management, Azure cloud computing.

  • Experience in supporting infrastructure services like Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SFTP, Fax Services.

  • Financial Services and/or Insurance Industry Experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written

  • ITIL Certification, or demonstrable experience within ITIL organization

  • Solid understanding of business needs and customer focus beyond technical/technology aspects

  • Experience coordinating vendor tasks & priorities in a managed service environment.

  • Experience in Disaster Recovery process, planning and testing.

  • Experience with regulatory compliance, IT compliance and security controls
