We invite you to join our creative and flexible team as an Infrastructure and DevOps Lead. We are looking for an experienced DevOps Lead in DevOps and Release Engineering team. This team is responsible for CI/CD, Packaging, Install, final validation, and release of Intel oneAPI toolkits and other software products. As a DevOps Lead will have a special focus on promoting the DevOps model to increase developer productivity through well-orchestrated automated services in various stages of continuous integration and continuous delivery. As a DevOps Lead, you must have a very deep understanding of various development tools and technologies. This is a hands-on technical role but with a high degree of collaboration to drive cultural change and raise the maturity levels of the Continuous Delivery practices. Enable developers to ship high-quality products and features with an end-to-end mindset from conception to delivery and production support. You will also be working on driving improvements in design, development, automation, and maintenance of release processes based on DevOps principles, providing capabilities for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD). In this role, you will work on the development and deployment of CI/CD systems for Intel software products and product suites (like oneAPI toolkits). The system provides product packaging and validation capabilities. You will contribute to release process automation based on existing services written in Python and create new ones. A part of the job consists in ensuring release process continuity via setting up these services in new lab location(s). You will be also dealing with CI/CD pipelines and internal infrastructure support. You'll participate in the implementation of new infrastructure (distributed, scalable, and robust) and develop features to make it observable and configurable on-demand.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a key leader and expert on DevOps practices
Implement and support Continuous Integration and Deployment Pipelines.
Developer Efficiency Tools (Focusing on Freeing up Development staff to focus on deliverables)
Implementing Automation to improve efficiency
CI/CD Onboarding
Mentor junior members in the team
Work collaboratively across team boundaries to share common capabilities
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or electrical engineering or computer engineering or related technical discipline
18+ years of experience with the following skills:
18+ years of experience in SW design and development with solid experience in Python programming; successful projects
Strong experience with Linux and Windows OS (system and services knowledge, application-level SW development)
Understanding of SW architecture principles and approaches to design and development of reliable, scalable, and modular SW systems
Knowledge of DevOps concepts and successful examples of applying DevOps methods and practices; understanding of CI/CD principles
Administration of a CI/CD tools such as Team City or Jenkins.
6+ years of experience in the following:
Scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Perl.
Working with distributed source control management system such as git.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and processes.
Understanding modern devops tools and concepts, ELK, Docker, Artifactory.
Experience using Git (GitHub) or other version controls systems.
Experience designing end-to-end flows with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
Experience with make, gcc, python, bash on Linux (Ubuntu, SLES).
Strong analytical skills in debugging issues with CI/CD flow.
