Job Description: 

The IP Engineering Group [IPG] is responsible for developing leadership IPs that power-winning products for our customers and Intel. IPG Engineering Services is a key partner for IP and Test chip teams and this position will play a critical role in satisfying design teams compute & EDA license requirements for IPG global teams.

The role requires close collaboration with IP/Test chip teams who are key stakeholders and must partner with/influence HPC & ELM teams in fulfilling demands.

It also requires great customer orientation and communication skills to ensure that expectations are set and managed effectively. Candidates must have a strong technical background in the area of net batch, ION, storage coupled with strong influencing and communication skills.

In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical support on Compute [HPC] & EDA license solutions:

• Manage and address day-to-day issues on net batch job failures, user permissions, configuration changes etc. Reduce job failures by analyzing weekly EC peak average, EC time loss, Core, Memory & CPU utilization.

• Monitor long running/waiting jobs; automate notifications to IP leads for required actions. Perform quarterly audits for permissions, resources & access list.

• Identify opportunities for job profiling and optimize run times with Design Tools/Flows team. Enable ODC set up with ION sessions and manage storage disk areas optimized for consumption

• Having EDA license management skill would be added advantage. Drive inputs from project teams, analyze usage data, and enter annual EDA plan and quarterly remix forecasts in ELM.

• Ramp and be an expert in handling ELM tool [forecast], Looker [Usage data] and HSD-ES for tactical/strategy.

• 1st level support on licensing issues for project teams and participate in monthly LAC rep forum. Run lmstat & other tools to determine if license is running & reachable to address queries.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree or Master's in Engineering.

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in High performance computing [HPC]/cloud computing and similar areas

• Hand on experience with debugging net batch and ION related issues

• Ability for multi-GEO work, being part of a global team and global organizational support.

• Good analytical skills and must be great team player, willing to learn and flexible.

• Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
