Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Directs the development and implementation of the Customer Requirements and the quality control programs and contributes to the EAG Quality Management System enhancements and Best Practices based in our standards AS9100, AS9102 and Eaton Quality System. Manage Quality Management System Performance Evaluation throughout Internal Audit activity Corrective Action (CAPA), Management Review, and other documentation issues as needed for the operations. Ensures that policies and procedures regarding all aspects of quality assurance and improvement are rigidly adhered to internal requirements during all manufacturing processes, including supplier quality. This position is also in charge to coordinate Quality Best Practices and Initiatives that support all improvements and sustain for the Quality Culture ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ensures that process needed for the Quality Management System are established, implemented, and maintained, based in requirements of AS9100, AS9102, EQS, and any other customer or regulatory requirements. Establishes objectives, policies, and procedures for Tijuana quality control activities. Ensure the promotion, awareness and deployment of internal, customer, and regulatory requirements throughout the Tijuana organization, including deployment of Eaton Business tools to improve business effectiveness (EQS, ELSS, WISPER, MESH, PROLaunch, etc.) Train and Maintain group of Internal Auditors per AS9100 and Eaton Quality Systems Monitors overall Tijuana Quality Performance through managing the BSC and its various data sources and analysis, updates information in EPM, and makes or facilitates efforts to drive continual improvement. Ensure the implementation and sustain of the Quality Lead Indicators, including the Quality Best Practices. Assists QM in obtaining, maintaining, and improving appropriate customer and regulatory approvals (i.e. QMS certification, NADCAP process certification, FAA, etc.) including ensuring organizational readiness for customer, third party, and regulatory assessments. Coordinate and implement the PPAP Methodology based in the requirements of the Quality Organization. Coordinate the Document Control department and the implementation of the MCO process through all the organization. Ensure the Documentation Retention Program and the Scanning process is being followed by all departments in the organization through Document Management System. Consistently align procedures vs actual processes to make sure all requirements are being aligned. Compile & write training material and conduct training sessions on improvement tools & methodologies. Ensure applicability of current quality policies, procedures and objectives by keeping informed of the latest updates/ modifications related to ISO an AS9100. Support the development and administration of internal corrective and preventative action (CAPA) Quality Management Systems. Assure personnel is aligned to the department and business goals. Training employees at Eaton Quality Management System, Introduction to Quality, Quality Policy, AS9100 and internal platforms for Quality best practices #LI-AR7 Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: 5 to 10 years of experience in Quality Systems standards and Aerospace Regulatory Requirements Experience coordinating and attending External Audits (Nadcap, AS9100, Customers, etc) Lead AS9100 Auditor Bachelor's degree Knowledge of Aerospace Regulatory Environment, NADCAP processes, AS9100 and ISO17025. Advanced Knowledge of the Eaton PROLaunch NPD and STP Process as well as DFSS MRP Systems ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (or European Equiv.) preferably. Strong communication skills. Strong Data bases management (excel) Strong problem-solving knowledge Adobe Writing Desirable, Greenbelt Certification ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Incumbent must be effective leader with exceptional personnel skills.
