Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION Support and leadership on Quality, product integrity and continuous improvement processes and systems aimed to achieve customer satisfaction. Focuses on parts/product safety and warranty for the customer. Carries out root cause analysis and resolution for customer issues. Steers the approach of product quality to ensure warranty targets are met and minimized. Ensure proper implementation and lead of APQP process with our products and manufacturing processes Define and lead process improvement projects to improve plant’s indicators (PPM, Warranty Claims, Fill Rate, On-Time Performance, Yield, and Scrap). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible to lead work’s team in the deployment of Eaton Quality System, Six Sigma Projects at Lightning Plant Lead the quality and warranty management process, develop warranty procedures and manuals. Lead the reliability improvement process producing performance reports against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as required Provide and manage a framework for the warranty returns customer concerns and the company problem solving/root cause analysis system Ensure that analysis data is reported to customers within agreed time scales in customer specific format as required Communicate fault and liability information to the relevant internal and external suppliers in order to obtain robust interim and permanent corrective actions aimed at warranty prevention and cost reduction Conduct detailed trend analysis of warranty return parts, claims, costs and exposure going forward to determine corrective and preventative actions to support manufacturing processes Ensure lessons learned from warranty analysis are communicated across all product/customer platforms ad captured on new projects within DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) /PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) /CP (Process Capability) Inform and advise management on budgetary preparation on future warranty spend Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements Participate in the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEA’s (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) Monitor performance of processes quality and identify root cause and support with the implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Lead & develop quality strategy and coordinate cross-functional activities to implement the Eaton Quality system at Lightning plant to achieve operational excellence. Participate and provide support in Quality System and Support ISO 9001:2015 certification and EQS Policies. 2.1 - Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS): Execute 100% of monthly safety inspection, in coordination with the MESH Coordinator. ISO14001 Certification Assist to all EHS training assigned. Promote and promulgate all MESH Process and Policies to all the employees under his/her supervisor and ensure that they are being performed at his/her area / manufacturing line. Provide all resources needed to ensure that all MESH policies and procedures all performed by his/her personal under his/her supervision. #LI-AR7 Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE Bachelor’s degree on industrial, electrical or electromechanical engineering, business administration or other science. Minimum experience of 3-5 years in similar positions. Full Bilingual (English / Spanish) Preferable: Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Strong skills for problem solving (8D, Pareto, 5 Why’s, A3, etc.) Project Management Knowledge Preferable: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE certification) Knowledge in the interpretation of ISO 9001 requirements Lead auditor ISO 9001-2015 PC knowledge: Minitab, Microsoft Office, MS Project, MS Vision, Access Auto Cad, Competencies: Thinks and Acts Strategically, Gets Results, Builds Organizational Capability, Demonstrates Leadership Style.
