Eaton Corporation’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is seeking an Inside Sales Representative. This position can be based in Highland, IL or Syracuse, NY. Key responsibilities include: Assist the sales representative on quotations to customers. Receive incoming telephone calls regarding technical help, product application, where to find material, and standard terms and conditions pertaining to the sale of the products. Evaluate all calls and develop sales leads for the outside sales representative. Create a demand, by use of the telephone, for Eaton Crouse-Hinds Products with potential on accounts classified as: industrial, electrical contractor, constructor, architect/engineer and Government. Maintain adequate records to control selling activities, and to insure proper care of all Eaton Crouse-Hinds property assigned. Be familiar with competitor's products and prices, and continuously increase knowledge of Eaton Crouse-Hinds products and their application advantages to customer needs. Perform cross reference requests to support conversions from competitive product. Collaborate with various departments to support both Pre-sale and Post-sale activities in order to drive customer satisfaction. (Pricing, Customer Service, Operations, Compliance, Logistics, Quality, Product Line Management, Engineering, Finance, & the Warehouse team) Perform various order management related functions where required. (Urgent shipping requests, expedite requests, return requests, and order cancellations.) Help maintain record keeping and reporting of weekly sales for district managers. (Eaton SharePoint) Facilitate training opportunities for new team members within the sales organization - both internal reps and agents. Support Sales analytics and reporting though the use of QlikView/SAP. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Highland, IL or Syracuse, NY to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
