PRIMARY FUNCTION DESCRIPTION The Eaton Electrical Critical Power and Distributed IT sales operations team has an opening for a Synergy Sales Business Development Manager. This position is tasked with managing the process for driving and tracking synergy opportunities from pipeline to close. With an established $20M+ in pipeline, this business development manager will be working with internal teams at Eaton to support the progression of pipeline opportunities for US domestic sales. The person will be tasked with understanding products, pricing, and quoting processes and tools. Develops knowledge of local market conditions, customers and processes/procedures, as well as industry knowledge. The person in this position is expected to Create systemic monitoring tools that attribute sales to pipeline funnel Drive increase in close rates Support on the closing of orders Possess the ability to interpret customer requirements/scope Support the maintenance of quotation/project database Support synergy lead nurturing Manage order handoff process between sales to ensure proper execution of services projects ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DIMENSIONS The primary functions include accurate and timely synergy deal interpretation, quotation and technical support; potential communication with customers, as well as warehouse and plants to facilitate problem resolution; proactive identification of sales potential and follow up to secure orders. Essential job tasks include but are not limited to: Review and interpret synergy pipeline and specifications. Support the determination of the appropriate bill of material, most competitive price level and shipment cycle within the CPDI portfolio pertaining to each specific synergy negotiation; Proactively facilitate timely solutions to customer issues by utilizing available resources or creating procedures for resolution; Drive pipeline hit rate and take direction in establishing and maintaining the highest possible commercial relations with present and potential customers (internal and external) #LI-AR7 Qualifications POSITION CRITERIA Commercial experience (Electrical assemblies knowledge a plus) Sales and/or marketing experience Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Strong communication skills (Fully fluent in English- Read/Write/Speak) BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum 1 year of sales experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution Working knowledge of Eaton proprietary software (Bidmanager, Vista, Order Center, C360) Experience or exposure to a manufacturing organization What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
