Our location in Portland currently has an opportunity for an Quality Technician I (SECOND SHIFT 2:30pm - 11pm); you will be responsible for the visual and dimensional inspection of incoming, in process, and final components/materials, information for use (IFUs), packaging, and labeling materials. Perform first article inspections, conduct functional testing as required by component drawings and/or test instructions. Work in compliance to Heart Failure (HF) Procedures and cGMP guidelines.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Maintain inspection documentation in accordance with SOPs, WIs and GMP (CFRs)
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Inspect incoming, R&D components and production component
  • Perform and process first article inspections as directed by IQA Supervisor.
  • Correlate supplier’s first article inspection report with AV first article inspection results.
  • Interface with engineers on new product development, inspections and Non-conformance results.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING 

Required 

  • Requires an AA degree or technical education with a minimum of one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be knowledgeable in using measurement equipment and tools such as calipers, gages, micrometers, etc.
  • Experience in or familiarity with regulatory requirements such as FDA GMP, ISO and Quality Systems Regulations.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Understanding of basic inspection techniques.
  • Proficiency in using basic math skills to obtain test and inspection results.
  • Previous experience in the medical device industry preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.            
  • Must be familiar with current software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, which are used in generating reports and statistics.
