As an Instructional Design and Development Consultant at Eaton, you will play an integral part in our Sales Training team by assisting with the design, creation, development, and implementation of our sales training content and learning tools. This training, content and tools could include, but are not limited to: instructor-led materials, training slides and workbooks, job aids, online training (web session and eLearning), and LMS system testing and publishing. You will work closely with sales trainers, sales operations and sales teams, supporting instructional design initiatives, while developing your skills in course authoring, learning consultation, and content creation and management. Job Responsibilities Work closely with other members of the Sales Training team to identify learning methods and develop training content and materials focused on defined learning objectives. To design the learning architecture, including the structure and sequence to meet different learning needs. Design and creation of tools and job aids. Collaborate with Eaton Design Team to influence their templates/standards. Help evaluate and edit new and existing curricula using instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and learning styles (print and eLearning). This includes designing, developing and/or editing facilitator guides, PowerPoint content, workbooks, activities, and auditing/reviewing eLearning modules. Maintain accuracy of training materials by making updates as required. Coordinate and support program pilots, trainer sessions and rollouts. Primary liaison for Eaton internal content creators (e.g. Segment Marketing) to facilitate creation & deployment of learning. Use learning technologies and collaboration tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Articulate Storyline 2, Camtasia, Adobe Photoshop, Survey Monkey, Teams meeting tools, file sharing/transfer software) #LI-ID1 Qualifications Are you? Required: Bachelor's degree, certification in instructional design, with an emphasis on eLearning, or equivalent work experience in education or business. Experience with instructional design methodology and adult learning theory. Proficient in MS Office applications, primarily Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with web sessions tools (e.g. MS Teams). Proficient in basic courseware development, including: job aids, instructor-led materials, presentations. Experience with basic photo tools. Creative. Someone who can get learner’s attention and keep it. Can take source material and bring it to life in a valuable learning experience.
