Position Overview

Whittle School & Studios seeks qualified candidates to apply for the position of Early Childhood Education Instructor for our campus in Shenzhen, China. The Early Childhood instructor will deliver developmentally appropriate and applied content to our preschool students, before and after the traditional school day. Delivered to our youngest learners, Studios' Early Childhood programming will support delivery of Health & Wellness; Humanities; the Arts; and Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics (STEM) content.

Responsibilities

We believe all children are naturally curious and born to be great thinkers, forming meaning from interactions with their family, peers, teachers, and community. The candidate characteristics that comprise our Ideal Instructor Candidate and that we use for identifying and selecting Studios' talent are organized by four program areas: (1) Core Curriculum: Our Interdisciplinary and Experiential Approach; (2) Global Perspectives: Mastering Tools to Tackle the World's Challenges; (3) Personalized Pathways: Student-Led Learning Guided by Caring Advisors; and (4) Beyond the Core: Explore Passions and Discover Interests. We have also outlined the responsibilities expected as a member of a collaborative, professional learning community.

• Possess a bachelor's or master's degree in Early Learning or related field
• Possess teaching experience of interdisciplinary content in Early Learning and/or one of the fStudios' pathway areas
• Oversee assistant instructors assigned to Studio(s)
• Deliver the local Studio content
• Personalize Studio sessions
• Participate in onboarding and training programs
• Interface with families
• Support students and colleagues
• Participate in professional learning communities, in planning with Studio team, and in other collaborative communities
• Demonstrate drive and energy to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Demonstrate experience embedding diverse, cross cultural personal and professional environments
• Possess interest in global education and/or world culture demonstrated through study and professional and/or volunteer experiences

Whittle School & Studios offers our staff very competitive total compensation packages that are either at or above market, depending on the position.
