Position Overview

Whittle School & Studios seeks qualified candidates to apply for the position of Humanities Instructor for our campus in Shenzhen, China. The language instructors will deliver developmentally appropriate and applied content to students, ages pre-school to grade 12, after the traditional school day, during the school day, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

We are looking for part-time language instructors who will, in collaboration with Studios' General Manager, be responsible for delivering the Studios' language content, personalizing Studios' sessions, working with students from particular age groups and developmental levels, participating in onboarding and training programs, interfacing with families, and supporting students on their learning journeys.

Responsibilities

We have also outlined the responsibilities expected as a member of a collaborative, professional learning community.

  • Possess a bachelor's or master's degree in relevant subject areas
  • Possess some teaching experience of students from age 3 to 18 preferably in non-traditional setting and teaching interdisciplinary content
  • Oversee assistant instructors assigned to Studio(s)
  • Deliver the local Studio content
  • Personalize Studio sessions
  • Participate in onboarding and training programs
  • Interface with families
  • Support students and the staff team
  • Participate in professional learning communities, in planning with Studio team, and in other collaborative communities
  • Demonstrate drive and energy to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Demonstrate experience embedding diverse, cross cultural personal and professional environments
  • Possess interest in global education and/or world culture demonstrated through study and professional and/or volunteer experiences 
Compensation 

Whittle School & Studios offers our staff very competitive total compensation packages that are either at or above market, depending on the position.
