The Athletics Director will be in charge of Physical Education classes for Grades 1-12. Classes include various sports broken between the school semesters and occasional health classes to help educate students on a healthy life style. All classes are an hour long and taught by two P.E. teachers. Elementary classes are broken up into a combination of grade levels and a 3rd teacher will join to help the younger classes. Middle school and high school classes are broken up into 2 classes. One class will have grades 6-8, and one class will have grades 9-12. During these middle school and highschool classes, other teachers may join in to help coach various sports throughout the year. Although all classes are taught entirely in English, the job would only require the applicant to "supervise" classes, coach students through the sports seasons (volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball, etc.), and also educate and inspire students to live a healthier lifestyle. The athletics director may also be asked to go on tournaments with the sports teams as they compete with other international schools across the country (which usually happen over a weekend) and attend international school meetings with ADs from other schools. In addition, basic responsibilies required for all teachers in school apply to this position as well. All teacher have responsibilities throughout the day, helping students during the lunch hour, helping out with dismissal, or answering questions students may have on their homework or class difficulties, etc.
