Job Description
Responsibilities for Kindergarten teacher:
1. Support BCIS vision and mission.
2. Teach all areas of the assigned American curriculum. BCIS utilizes Common Core standards combined with Inquiry models of instruction.
3. Plan, prepare and implement lessons that are consistent with the curriculum and cater to the needs of students with varying abilities.
4. Maintain classroom discipline. Communicate regularly with parents regarding students’ progress.
5. Meet requirements for the assessment and documentation of student development.
6. Engage parents in school programs and Open Days.
7. Participate in and organize extracurricular activities, as needed 3 times/week.
8. Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or above in Education or relevant area from an accredited university
Teaching Certification(s) – TEFL minimum, although this is not an ESL program
Recent graduates will be considered. Applicants without having completed a formal teacher training program must have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience
Successful candidates demonstrate the ability to provide excellent instruction in a growing community and uphold the BCIS vision.
