Job Description

Due to continued success of the migrations of traditional Head office departments into centres of excellence. Thermofisher are currently recruiting for a Transition Lead Support. The successful candidate will support developing of the future operating model of the GBS Organization through the redesign of existing services, utilizing a defined methodology. You will be responsible to fully understand a department process, ensure they are fully documented to be used for knowledge transfer. Also support the stabilisation phases following knowledge transfer.

You will play an integral role in the expansion of Global Business Services across our business divisions/groups working with employees at various levels mainly throughout the EMEA region. This role would be well suited to an individual currently working in an operational role who has had experience working on Transition/Change Projects, and is looking to broaden into a project role. This background is important in order to fully appreciate the detail within the processes to be transferred. You will be part of a team to follow a data-led approach to analyze all areas of the organization to identify potential opportunities to improve services for customers and deliver financial efficiencies.  GBS is a key global initiative for Thermo Fisher Scientific, which will offer significant and far reaching opportunities for long-term career progression within Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Location: Paisley / Budapest
 
What will you do  ?

  • Support the facilitation of workshops with stakeholders to assess Current State
  • Support the development of Project Planning,
  • Completes high level and detailed process mapping
  • Manages information collection during site visits or webex sessions
  • Support the development of the Learning/Training Needs Documentation, development of SOP’s and WIN’s
  • Manages completeness of process documentation with Process Leads
  • Serves as Migration representative for designing Interaction technology and processes
  • Manages Knowledge Transfer/Training requirements for new hires in the GBS centers, including developing of Knowledge Transfer and training resources required,
  • Manages the delivery of Qualitative & Quantitative assessment throughout the Knowledge transfer life cycle
  • Manage & facilitate in the GBS Centers in Budapest and Paisley, on-boarding, training and work shadowing of teams during key periods
 
What are we looking for ?
 
  • Ability to work in a fast passed environment, to prioritize and to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong workshop facilitation skills, including the ability to communicate difficult or complex messages in a measured and clear manner
  • Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication at various levels inside and outside the organization
  • Ability to operate independently and remain focused through change or uncertainty, and capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Flexible approach and the ability to adapt to any given situation
  • Advanced MS Excel skills to collate, present and analyse large amounts of complex data.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Project, PPT, Visio and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Reliable and calm approach to delivering a high volume of work to strict deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and ways of working or adapt and respond to new directions quickly and creatively in a climate of change
  • Related-business experience at this level; prior experience in Shared Services
  • Transition/Migration experience preferred, whether sending or receiving the work or directly coordinating the migration
  • Experience working in a large corporate environment
  • Experience of working collaboratively with complex services to review and improve specific processes and ways of working
  • Experience operating to implement cross-service change initiatives
  • Good working knowledge of business process re-engineering, including process mapping
