Job summary
Primary job responsibilities
- Contribute to the user experience vision for one or more offerings or lines of offerings
- Identify problems, gauging the usability of offerings, and making sound recommendations for improvements
- Understand and clearly communicate the information architecture, workflows, and processes surrounding the user experience with fellow designers and developers
- Create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design
- Work with our team’s user researchers to perform usability tests to validate design choices
- Work with developers to implement designs into offerings successfully
- Collaborate with an extremely talented, multi-faceted user experience team
- Work with passionate, engaged product development teams
- Design in an open source culture where innovation, the open sharing of information, and grass-root initiatives are valued
- Be part of a growing focus on user experience across the organization
Required skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in interaction design, visual design, human computer interaction, human factors, computer science, or a closely related area
- Ability to apply design thinking into complex problem spaces
- Enthusiastic about working in a team environment with a passion for sharing best practices
The following are considered a plus:
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with open source projects and technologies
- Experience with enterprise, business-to-business (B2B) product design
- History with evangelization of user experience design across organizations
- Web development and coding experience
